Robert J. Meulmeester, MRICS, Principal and Founder
Mr. Meulmeester is an entrepreneur with twenty+ years of hands-on international experience in corporate real estate as well as real estate finance comprising investments, (re)development/repositioning, finance and capital raising, site selection / space rationalization, valuation and economics. Mr. Meulmeester has analyzed almost $100 billion in real estate and conducted business in some 50+ countries throughout Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe. He has worked from offices located in the Netherlands, Belgium, India and the United States.
Mr. Meulmeester sourced, initiated and managed dozens of development/investment projects in the Greater Philadelphia area as well as New York City. He raised over $50 million in debt and equity capital, and successfully managed and coordinated accounting, legal and tax matters as well as contractors, engineers, brokers, property managers, lawyers, architects, utility companies and government representatives.
Mr. Meulmeester founded RJM Worldwide LLC in Philadelphia in 2012 and has established a client base ranging from investor/ developers, financiers to third party professional services firms. Through 2012, Mr. Meulmeester was a managing partner with Cadence Capital Group, a merchant bank based in New York City with a primary focus on business development and real estate transactions. Prior to Cadence Capital Group, Mr. Meulmeester was with Deloitte’s real estate advisory practice where Mr. Meulmeester advised C-Suite Level executives on corporate and finance / investment strategies.
Since 2009, Mr. Meulmeester has been teaching real estate finance classes at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. Mr. Meulmeester has been an active member of the Urban Land Institute (“ULI”) since 2006, and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (“RICS”) since 2010. Also, as of 2019, Mr. Meulmeester has become a member of Green Building United.
Mr. Meulmeester obtained a Master’s in Economics from the Universiteit van Amsterdam (The University of Amsterdam) in the Netherlands in 1997 and has taken on continuing education at New York University as well as course offerings from the RICS, ULI, and the Corporate Finance Institute®. As of January 2021, Mr. Meulmeester has also earned the designation of Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA®).
